The Monica SwinnCyberspace Administration of China and the Ministry of Public Security have jointly released regulations on the management of facial recognition technology applications, which will take effect on June 1. The new regulations aim to standardize the use of facial recognition technology in processing facial data and safeguard personal information rights, according to the authorities’ announcement.
